O’Donnell, Kathleen Theresa nee (Curley) “Kay”.
Sunrise August 17th 1930, in Weirstead, Quebec. Sunset September 1st 2016, in Aylmer, Quebec. With heavy hearts, we announce that our mom and Nanny has left us. Cherished and adored mom to Janet (Ralph), Gary, Cathy, Shawn (Berthe), and Nancy (Patrick). Beloved Nanny to 13 grandchildren and Nanny Kay to 12 great-grandchildren. Kay was a second mother to many. Mia, her fur-baby (dog), will be lost without her. Kay follows her husband Matthew (1996) and son Leo John (1992). Also pre-deceased by her parents William and Sarah Jane (Sammon) Curley, and siblings Lorena, Margaret, Leo, Wilfred, Kenneth, Thomas and Emmet. Kay will be sadly missed by sister and best friend Leona Cain (Lloyd, 2016). She will also be mourned by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, neighbours and friends. Kay worked for Canada Post for over 40 years. She enjoyed bingo, slots at the casino, and spending time with family. Nanny spent her remaining days at home surrounded by loved ones. On Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Thursday, September 8, 2016 to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 5 John Street, Quyon, Quebec for mass of Christian funeral at 11am.Followed by the burial at St. Brigit’s cemetery in North Onslow
A luncheon at Gavan’s Hotel in Quyon will be provided after the burial.
