Nelson, Glenn Elwood
Passed away peacefully with his son Steven by his side, after a brief battle with leukemia, on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Karen Nelson (nee Wilson). Proud and loving father of Steven Nelson, Glenda Nelson (David Benes), Laura Marshall (Chris), and Kayla Nelson (Andrew Zeman). Cherished grandfather of Shannon, Jordan, Samantha and Lucas. Brother of Lyle (deceased), Hazel Lawson, Robert (Trudy), and Sharon Pettey (Doug). Also missed by his dear friend Peggy Kalniuk, brother-in-law John Wilson (Carolanne), and many nieces and nephews. Glenn was a proud member of the RCAF / CAF for 34 years as well as a member of the Ottawa-Nepean Umpire Association for 25 years. After retirement, he spent 16 years with the Corps of Commissionaires. He was also actively involved with the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 641 in Barrhaven. Special thanks to Dr. Michelle McKinnon and the Maycourt Hospice nurses and staff for their compassionate care. Family and friends may pay respects at the
