It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Elaine on the 22nd of February, 2015 in her 88th year, peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus. Elaine was predeceased by her husband Grenfell Christie and her daughter Carolyn “Sue” Christie. She leaves her brother Arthur (Lynne) Burden, her sister-in-law Muriel Christie, her sons Gil (Diane) of Griffith, Bruce (Elizabeth) of Cochrane, Glen of Ottawa, her twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Elaine’s strong spirit, work ethic, sense of humor, and unwavering support will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Ottawa Hospital for their care and compassion. Family and friends may pay respects at the
